What a lovely day for a picnic!
The junior infants brought their teddies to school for a picnic.
It was so much fun!!!!
We have been back training since September. Training takes place at the school every Friday from 2.40 to 3.30 weather permitting. Attendance has been great and we would encourage the girls to keep it up as we get closer to the start of the Rackard League. New players, especially from fifth class are very welcome!

On Thursday 2nd of June our Mercy rounders team walked to Coolcotts Lane to play Oylgate in the Rackard League semi-final. Previously when we played Oylgate we lost and this time we had revenge in mind.
The match got off to a quick start with Oylgate batting. Mercy didn’t waste time getting three out. Emily Kelly and chloe O’Farrell continued to show the opposition that they wouldn’t get to first base!!
Next we were batting. Sarah Murphy blasted the ball to get two people home. All the girls batted really well.
The whole team played excellently and won the match well with a score of 24-18 with an inning in hand. GO MERCY!!!
We will now play Poulfur in the final week after next. And if you want to hear a secret, Mercy beat Poulfur the first time we played them this season. It should be an excellent match.
