Our fabulous school choir took part in the 3rd Wexford Youth Orchestra festival concert on March 22nd in the National Opera House in Wexford. The pupils  in the choir from 3rd to 6th class sang their hearts out in collaboration with six orchestras from all over county Wexford. They performed two pieces, Carmina Burana and Eleanor Rigby with added improvisation from well known conductor, Brian Irvine. The pupils put a huge amount of work into preparing for this concert and their rehearsing certainly paid off on the night. Thanks to Ms. Hughes and Ms. Berry for all the work preparing the choir and accompanying them to rehearsals and the concert.

Choir takes place every Wednesday from 2.40 – 3.30 in the halla.

We have 50 members on our school choir this year.

We will be learning lots of new songs over the next few weeks.

It’s that time of year again and all of us in the choir are really singing our hearts out in preparation for the AIMS Choral Fesitival in New Ross next week! The Choral Festival is taking place on Friday week (May 21st), we’ll keep you all posted to let you know how it goes! 🙂
