Mercy Rocks The Spiegeltent

On Wednesday October 23rd 5th and 6th classes got a sneak preview of the Spiegeltent set up especially for the 2013 Opera Festival. The classes were invited to perform with John Spillane as he sang some of the songs from his album “Irish Songs We Learned in School”. The Mercy students had been practising some of his hits, including Báidín Fheilimí, Beidh Aonach Amárach and Óró Sé do Bheatha Abhaile and they raised the roof for these songs as they sang along with gusto. Thanks to Ms. Shannon, Ms. Mc Kiernan and Mr. King for taking the classes for this lovely treat.
