The Co Wexford School Sports was held in Bree today, Wednesday 18th May 2011.

The Mercy School sent a group of seventeen athletes and all competed in events such

as long jump, high jump, sprints and relays.  A fantastic day was had by all and the sun even

made a welcome appearance.  A big thank you to the parents that helped out on the

day, Danielle Simmons, Dermot Foley and Senan O Reilly- our official photographer.

Competition was extremly stiff but still the girls managed to qualify for a number of

finals.  Medals on the day went to Eve Hession for the longjump (silver) and Sabia

Doyle for the eighty metre sprint(silver).
