Camogie News

A huge well done to our school camogie team who put up a great fight against group leaders Our lady’s Island on Thurs 19th May. The match took place in Coolcott’s Lane.

The girls were against the wind in the first half and were trailing a bit going into half time.

They did not let this deter them though and very determined Mercy side emerged for the second half. Two points from Sarah Murphy and a goal from Cody Brennan helped to narrow the gap.

The girls have put in a great effort this year at training and the matches and have really improved. We will have nearly all our players again next year so we’ll be in with a great chance! So keep coming to training girls and practise during the summer if there’s time!

Camogie update:Mercy Vs Rosslare, 11th of May 2011

On Wednesday 11th May we played a match against Rosslare in the Rackard League. The match was played in Tagoat. We won 4 goals and 1 point to no score. We all played brilliantly including Cody who scored 4 goals. It was a tough match but when Ms.Shannon and Ms.Hughes said we would get a treat, we played even better! The whole team was very surprised when we won because it was our first win.
