decoration on display in the Library- Bonnie also won a prize for her efforts. Finally to put the icing on the cake we had a surprise visit fron Henry Mc Keen from Newstalk Radio to present Hazel Devereux from Ms. Hill’s class with first prize (out of entries from all over Ireland) in their poetry competition. Hazel’s poem “A Cozy Christmas” won her and her whole class vouchers for Byrne’s World of Wonder and a trip to Dublin to see the “Cinderella” Pantomime. Hazel will undoubtedly appear in print again in the future, another author from Wexford. Listen to interviews with Hazel and others on the “Seán Montcrief Show” on Newstalk on Friday Dec. 18th or you can tune in to a podcast of this by going onto the “Newstalk” website. More news soon about another writing competition concerning a certain principal who starts to act very strangely indeed….
Congratulations to Bonnie Neiland Stuart(Ms. Hughes’ class), Hannah Malone(Mr. King’s class) and Bronwyn Murphy(Ms. Hill’s class) for winning our recycled christmas decoration competition. Also well done to Claudia Faraon(Ms. Doran’s class) who was highly commended. The decorations will be on display in the town library over the christmas. Maith sibh.
