Junior Infants

Posted on October 9th, 2012 in Ms. Hughes by Ms. Hughes  Tagged

Hello everyone!

We are the Junior Infants in Room 5.

We are very busy learning lots of new things and having fun.

We love to sing and this is one of our favourite songs.

It tells the story of what we do everyday.

If you come and visit we will sing it for you!

Off to school

Into school and down we sit,

Talk and think a little bit,

Take some crayons, draw a lot,

Have a rest when we get hot.

OFF WE GO – HEY HO HO,

OFF WE GO TO SCHOOL

OFF WE GO HEY HO HO,

OFF TO ALL THINGS NEW.

Work is over, day is done,

We thank God for all the fun,

Take our coats down from the rack,

‘Goodbye teacher, we’ll be back!’

HOME WE GO HEY HO HO,

HOME WE GO FROM SCHOOL,

HOME WE GO HEY HO HO,

WE WILL BE BACK SOON.

Our School Garden

Posted on October 4th, 2011 in Ms. Hughes by Ms. Hughes  Tagged

It was such a lovely day today we decided to go for a walk to our school garden.

We have also been thinking a lot about a name for the garden over the past few days and today we came up more suggestions when we were out at the garden.

- The Mercy School garden

- The flower garden

- Great garden

- Sunny garden

There was lots to see in the garden today.

We got very excited when we saw the apple trees.

We counted that there were 3 apples on one tree.

The were also 3 BIG tree stumps on the way into the garden.

We took some funny pictures with the trees.

We had a lovely time – click below to see our pictures!

 Trip to the garden!
